Muscle between ventricles **top of interventricular septum is membranous, bottom is muscle**

3 layers of heart muscle (inside to out)

1. Endocardium (goes around valves as well). Similar inner lining of blood vessels. Red blood cells bump against this layer


2. Myocardium (biggest chunk of wall). Muscular part.


3. Pericardium (thin layer). Has 2 layers. Inner and outer layer with a gap in between. Closest to heart is visceral pericardium. Outer layer parietal pericardium
