Calamity Jane's maiden name was Marthy Cannary. She was born in Princeton, Missouri, May 1st, 1852. She had three sisters and two brothers. She was the oldest. Her parents were natives of Ohio. When she was a child she wanted to go on adventures and ride horses, which started her on her manly habits.
