Induction training:
Induction training is a training programme to help new employed staff become more familiar with their workplace, the people they work with and the procedures they need to follow.
Benefits and limitations of induction training

Benefit: Workers quickly feel part of the business and can therefore do their tasks more effectively from the start of their employment.




Limitation: It increases business cost as the workers are not adding to output but are receiving their wage or salary.

On-the-job training:
The worker learns the skills they need in the workplace, watching or following an experienced worker.
Benefits and limitations to the business of using On-the-job training:

Benefit: It's cheap and the workers learn the way that the business wants the job done.




Limitation: The worker might pick up any of the experienced worker's bad habits.

Off-the-job training:
Off-the-job training takes place away from the workplace for e.g. at college, university or specialised training premises.
Benefits and limitations of Off-the-job training:

Benefits: workers learn the latest methods and techniques.




Limitations: It can be expensive and the worker does not produce any output during training

Redundancy:
Redundancy describes a situation where the job that a worker does is no longer needed.
