What is a job analysis?

The job analysis identifies the tasks and responsabilitoies related to a job.

What is a job dscription?

The job description outlines the responsabilities and duties to be carried out by someone employed to do a certain job.

What is a job specification?

The job specification is a document which outlines the requirements, qualifications, expertise, physical charcteristics, etc. for a specific job.

What is internal recruitment?

Whena vacancy is filled with an already existing employee from within the company.

What is external recruitment?

When a vacancy is filled with someone who is not in the company and therefore will be new to the company.

What is induction training?

When someone is taught about the workplace's customs, procedures, machinery, and is presented to fellow workers.

What is on the job training?

On the job training means to watch an experienced worker do the job.

What is off the job training?

Off the job training means to be trained away from the workplace, usually by specialist trainers.

What is workforce planning?

Is establishing the number and expertise of employees for the foreseeable future of a company.
