Involve * Difficulty breathing * Cover more than one body part * Include head, neck, hand, feet genital area. * Involve children /Elderly |

Caring for burns |
* Cool burned area w/large amount of saline water if not available use plain water. * Cover with sterile dressing / if available, if burn is minor (not serious) if sterile dressing not available use sheer / smooth textured clothes. |

1st degree burns are superficial / epidermis (outer layer of skin) |

2nd degree burn |
1st layer burned through, skin dry and red appearing, warm to touch, painful, swollen, some have blisters |

3rd degree burn |
3rd most serious, affects/destroys all layers of tissue, likely to get infected,bone,tissue,skin and nerves. |
