What is considered bradycardia?
HR <60 bpm and inadequete for clinical condition
What is considered poor perfusion?
Acute AMS, ongoing chest pain, hypotension, signs of shock
What are the two types of management for bradycardia with poor perfusion?
-Transcutaneous pacing
-Transvenous pacing (more aggressive)
What are the meds for transcutaneous pacing?
-Atropine
-Epinephrine
-Dopamine
What is the dose of Atropine to give? How often can it be repeated?
0.5 mg IV/IO
Repeat every 3-5 min
What is the dose of Epi or Dopamine to give for bradycardia?
2-10 mcg/kg/min as an IV dro only!!!
What is the max dose of Epi or Dopamine that can be given?
Dopamine: 20 mcg/kg/min

Epi: no max dose
What type of an effect is seen with
2-10 mcg/kg/min of epi/dopa
10-20 mcg/kg/min epi or dopa
2-10: inotropic

10-20: vasoconstrictive
