Explain the Bowling Alone Thesis

Written by Robert Putnam, the Bowling Alone Thesis is an essay/ book about Putnam's survey on the decrease in social capital in America, and how it has created reduction in all the forms of in-person social intercourse upon which Americans used to found, educate, and enrich their social lives. Because of this civil groups, that are needed for a strong democratic, governemnt are undermined.
