What is the Constitution of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church? (i.e. Standard)

The Westminster Standards consisting of the Confession of Faith and

Qualifications include the exhibition of certain characteristics of life found in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
Examples being:
-blameless in life
-sound in the faith

What is the office of deacon and its qualifications?
The office of deacon was established for the ministry of compassion; having concern for the needy and to serve others.

Qualifications include characteristics found 1 Timothy 3. Examples being:
-should be a true disciple
-not double-minded
-not given to much wine
-not lovers of money
-good testimony from others
-not a novice-new believer
-tested before election

The elders govern; the deacons serve

The teaching elder and ruling elder share in the governing of the Church; the teaching elder is a minister of the word and sacraments, but the ruling elder is to be able to teach also.

A session is composed of elected elders in the local church seated together in session.

He moderates the meeting of session.

What is presbytery?
A presbytery represents and maintains the spiritual supervision of the churches in a designated geographical area.
What is the general assembly?
The general assembly represents and maintains the spiritual supervision of all the churches and presbyteries.
What are the requirements for membership in the EPC?
Profession of faith in Jesus Christ as one's personal Lord and Savior, repentance of sin, and obedience to him, and baptism.
Differentiate between a communing and non-communing member of the church.
A community member of the church is one who has made a public profession of faith and been baptized; a non-communing member is any infant of one or two believing parents who has not attained the age to publicly profess Christ as Lord and Savior.
Who owns the property in the local church in the EPC?
The particular church
What is the difference between a committee and a commission?
A committee is appointed by court to study a matter and report its findings to that court or to carry out decisions already made by said court. A commission is appointed to act for the appointing body in the assignment given it.
In what ways may the business of the lower courts be brought before the higher courts?
Resolutions; petitions; appeals.
