Haemoglobin normal levels?
Hb 11.5-16.5g/dL

MCH 27-32 g/dL (mean corpuscular haemoglobin)

MCHC 31-35 g/dL (mean corpuscular haemoglobin concentration)
What does MCH tell you?
The average content of Hb in a single RBC therefore this tells you whether the RBCs are hypo or hyper chromic - whereas the overall Hb level will not tell you whether the anaemia is hypo or hyperchromic
What is coombs test?
Detection of antibodies bound to RBCs, for blood x-matching by adding an antigen (used ABO specificity)
