What is Layer Zero?

All geometry on layer zero that is included in a block automatically takes on the properties of the current layer. Geometry on other layers retains the properties of the layer it is on.

What is the minimum you must supply to define a block?

A name, entities to be included in the block, and an insertion point

What is attribute definition?

Text information which is defined by how the attribute acts when a block with the attribute is inserted in the drawing.

What is the tag option in attribute definitions?

Description of the text information. Examples: Price, Vendor, Location

What is the Prompt option in attribute definitions?

What users will see as a prompt to enter the value for the attribute.


Ex: If the tag value is VENDOR, the prompt value would be ENTER THE VENDOR

What is the Default option in attribute definitions?

default value for the attribute that will be displayed unless overridden.

What does the command ATTDISP do?

On, Normal, Off to display attributes.
