Command Initiated IED

Initiated by the action of its victims.

Victim actuated IED

Fabricated to kill or incapacitate victims with a chemical, rather than explosive, effect.

Chemical IED

Explosives designed to destroy or damage ground vehicles, boats, or aircraft, or to wound, kill, or otherwise incapacitate personnel
