“Blades of Glory” is a 2007 comedy film about couples ice-skating. The genre of this film is a mixture of romance, comedy and action. Blades of glory was directed and produced by Josh Gordon and Will Speck, it was written by Jeff C. ox and Craig Cox. The main cast of this movie is Will Ferrell who plays Chazz Micheal Micheals and Jon Heder who plays Jimmy McElroy.

Number ONE

At the 2002 World Winter Sport Games, rival men's singles skaters Chazz Michael Michaels and Jimmy McElroy tie for gold. An argument arises, which develops into a fight on the awards podium, ending with the World Games mascot being set on fire. As a result they are stripped of their medals and banned for life from men's singles competition. Three and a half years later jimmy finds a loophole in the ban allowing him to compete in pair skating.

In hopes of entering the upcoming World Winter Sport Games, Jimmy contacts his old coach, Robert, but is unable to find a partner. Jimmy's search for a last-minute partner leads him to Chazz, and Robert convinces the two to skate as the first-ever same-sex pair’s team, because the regulations fail to state the genders of the pairs.

In this particular scene that I chose, Katie Is set up by her siblings to sleep with Chazz in order to break up Jimmy and Chazz’s duo. Jimmy is told to meet Katie at 12:00 and Chazz was told to meet Katie a few minutes before hand. Chazz gets there with the intention of breaking of meeting her and sleeping with her and he goes there to talk to her but ends of getting caught by Jimmy in a scene that was looked to be something it wasn’t and was taken out of context.

As Jimmy storms off, Chazz then follows out after him but he runs off so Chazz proceeds to go back to his room and calls him from about 12:05 to 5:00am in the morning leaving voicemails saying everything and anything he possibly can to get him to forgive him including singing a portion of the song “I Don’t Want To Miss a Thing” By Aerosmith which was displayed in their first ice skating performance.

The Major Characters who appear in this scene are Chazz, Jimmy and Katie. The Scene starts in Katie’s Hotel Room and then the rest majority of the scene ends up in Chazz’s Room. The comedy used in this scene was mostly gross comedy and music used in this scene is “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing” By Aerosmith.
