What is a control group?
A group of individuals who are treated identically to the experimental group with one exception.
What are variables?
Characteristics of your experimental system that are subject to change.
What does a nucleus contain?
A proton, which has a large, positive charge, and a neutron, which has no charge, and an electron cloud.
All of the elements are represented by a symbol, X (or Na, Cl, etc) and then numbers on every corner of the element. If numbered 1 through 4, starting on the bottom left corner and moving clockwise, what does each number represent?
1= the atomic #, 2= atomic mass (the atomic mass is the number of protons plus the number of neutrons), 3=charge (+ or -), and 4=the number of atoms in a molecule.
How do electrons exist?
In energy states called shells.

What is a neutral charge in an atom?

The p+=e-
