H2O in the egg has a higher concentration than the H2O in the corner syrup so more water comes in (passive transport) |

The H2O from the egg diffused across the membrain because instead of corn syrup there is water in the cup so the water in the egg has lower concentration and the water out side the egg has higher concentration causing the water to come out (osmosis) |
