What is recombination frequency?
It is the rate at which two linked genes become unlinked.
Steps in DNA replication.
1. Enzymes called helicases unwind the two strands of DNA molecule.
2. The single strands act as templates for the formation of new complementary strands.
3. DNA polymerase moves along the original strands and attaches the appropriate nucleotide bases.
4. If the incorrect base pair is inserted, part of the DNA polymerase enzyme will correct the mistake.
