What is Biology? |
Biology is the study of living organisms and their interactions with one another and their environment. |

It means that hypothesis can be disproven by experimental results. |

What is a variable? |
A variable is any part of the experiment that can vary or change during the experiment. |

What is a control group? |
A control group contains every feature of the experimental group except it is not given manipulation that is hypothesized about. |

What is basic science or pure science? |
Basic science seeks to expand knowledge regardless of the short=term application of knowledge. |

What is applied science or technology? |
aims to use science to solve real-world problems, making it possible, to improve a crop yield, find a cure, or save animals threatened by a natural disaster. |

It means a discovery was made by a fortunate accident or lucky surprise. |

Scientific work is the research that scientist discover about and eventually share it with other scientists |

What are peer-reviewed manuscripts? |
are scientific papers that are reviewed by a a scientist's colleagues or peers. The colleagues then judge whether or not the scientist's work is suitable for publication. |

A concise summary. |

Starts with a brief, bit broad background information about what is known in the field |

What is plagiarism? |
Using the work or ideas of others without proper citation. |

What are materials and methods? |
Material and methods are a complete and accurate description of the substances used and the method and techniques used by researchers to gather data. |

What are results? |
Simply narrates the findings without any further interpretation. |

What is discussion? |
The researcher will interpret the results, describe how variable may be related and attempt to explain the observations. |

Summarizes the importance of the experimental findings. |
