contains cells called fibroblasts ( secretes extracellular matrix) framework for epithelial types

regular Dense C.T.

Cells more closely packed together. contain collagen and elastin, very flexible. Fibers arranged in neat rows.


Irregular dense C.T.

contains fibroblasts, mainly collagen. Arranged haphazardly. found in dermis. Layers that support mucous membranes, joint capsules

Cartilage
