Where do keratoacanthomas tend to occur?
Head, neck, sun exposed skin
What is the natural history of keratoacanthoma?
Rapid growth to 1-3 cm dome-shaped nodule wiht central keratin, followed by spontaneous regression over 6months, leaving a small scar
What is the treatment for KA?
Excision if suspected as difficult to reliably distinguish from SCCs. Can use 5-FU if multiple lesions.
What is Bowen Disease? What does it look like, and where does it tend to occur?
SCC in situ. Scaly, rough, red, crusting, slow-growing lesion, ocurring anywhere on body but most often on trunk and extremities.
What is the treatment of Bowen Disease? Multiple plaques?
Excision. If multiple areas, visceral workup indicated.
