A person w/in an organization that possesses an in-depth knowledge of the business and has the communication skills required to convey that information to those developing a database.
Business Analyst
A person that takes the information from the Business Analystand determines the required data elements and their attributes.
Data Analyst
A person that takes the data elements and puts them into logical model of how the database is to be, utilizing concepts of normalization.
Data Architect
This person works in conjunction with the System Administrator to physically create the database in the computer.
Database Administrator
A person who develops individual program specifications that will be later used by the programmer to develop specific applications.
Systems Analyst
A person that creates inquiry screens, forms, report data files based upon the requirements of the users and the database.
Programmer Analyst
A person that ensures the security of the data and the database. They also "tune" the database to make sure that it performs well.
Applications Database Administrator
These are the people that monitor the system in terms of security and connectivity and perform backup/recovery tasks.
