collection of data related to a particular topic. An Access database is a single file that contains all the tables, queries, forms, and reports for that collection of information.
Database
Tables, queries, reprots, forms, and other objects that are the functional parts of an Access database.
Database Object
the window that appears when you first open an Access database. The database window gives you access to all the objects in a database.
Database Window
In Access, data displayed in a row and column format in a table, query, and a form.
Datasheet
In Access, an object view that displays records in a row or column format similar to a spreadsheet. Datasheet view allows you to see many records at the same time.
Datasheet View
In Access, an object view that allows you to designand change tables, queries, forms, and reports.
Design View

Field
An Access database object that holds controls for entering, editing, and displaying data form an underlying table or query.
Form

Print Preview
In Access, a database object that shows specific data you want to work with. The data may be drawn from multipue related tables, amy have serveral filters applied, and may include calcualted expressions.
Query
In Access, a set of information that belongs together, such as a customers name and address information, or details about a product.
Record
In Access, tha gray box that left side of each record in Datasheet view or in Form view. Click the record selector to select the entire record.
Record Selector
A type of database in which information is stored in separte but related tables, which allows for nonredundant, more efficient data storage and retrieval.
Relational Database
In Access, a database object that presnts data organized and formatted to your specifications.
Report
In Access a collection of data with the same subject or topic. Data are stored in records(rows) and fields(columns).
Table
In Access, a field property that determines what type of data the field can contain(ex-name, number, text, ect.)
Data Type
