What is a Root word?

The root word is the essential meaning of the medical term.

You always keep the "O" between them.

|
First you look at the first letter in the suffix if the letter starts w/ a vowel you keep the "O" between them if it starts w/ a consonant you drop the "O"

|
You just stick the prefix to the front of the word.

How do you read a medical term when you are trying to determine the meaning?

You have to start at the end of the medical term where the suffix is define the suffix then go back to the front of the word & define each word part.
