Cry
Y at the end of one syllable words make the Long I sound.

There's no FLOSS rule in multi-syllable words unless they are compound words. Then you spell them like they would normally be spelled all by themselves.

IC at the end of mulit-syllable words will always be spelled IC. If it's a single syllable word the only time you use CK is right after a short vowel.

When spelling the /k/ sound in the middle of words you try to use C whenever you can. You can't when a "Watch Out" vowel comes right after. Then the only time you use CK is when it comes right after a short vowel. If it doesn't come right after a short vowel use K.

Short vowels must be closed. If you don't hear anything closing it off you double the next sound you do hear.
Almost All
ALL is a unit which is at the end of word making an unusual sound. If you hear ALL at the beginning you spell it AL.

If the second syllable is accented or lasts the longest and ends with S you double it.
Eggs or EX?
When you read E-X then a blue tile or consonant you say EX. If E-X is followed by a yellow tile or vowel you say EGGS.

Schwa says /u/ in an unaccented syllable.
