What are the principles of safe movement |
- make sure the floor infront of you will take your weight - check for obstacles and obstructions before moving - always check above head before standing up - maintain physical or audible contact with all team members - BA teams operational risk assessment should determine the safest and quickest way to achieve objectives |

Alert team when stairs are located Keep loading on the stairs as low as possible One FF per flight of stairs Move on all fours Stay close to wall One step at a time, test and sweep each step for obstructions |

1) keep low and close together against the wall in which door is located 2) if door opens towards, use it as a shield one foot against the door 3) If door opens away, keep close to wall next to door catch 4) Note conditions before fully opening 5) Make sure door does not lock behind you 6) Make other teams in the same area aware of intention to open a door |
