  • mvmt towards or away from camera is stronger than lateral mvmt
  • subject exits and entrances are more impressive when they occur towards or away form the camera
  • lateral mvmt of a subject is often led by the camera, if not = less dramatic
  • the viewer is often more interested in where the subject is going, not where it has been
