Cremolyn Steroids:
blocks histamine release, prophylactic use.
methyxanthines:
These are the bronchodilators. theophylines, theobromines, caffeine. Operates by blocking adenosine (a broncoconstrictor) and phosphodiesterase.
b 2 Agonists:
These are bronchodilators.
non selective b agonists are:
Epi and isoproterenol
b2 selective antagonists are:
albuterol, terbutaline (short acting)

long acting is salmeterol. Salmon gets in the fat and is slow released.
b2 adverse reactions?
tremors (that is why an inhaler is used

tolerance (use steroids in addition)
Muscarinic Antagonists?
These are the atropine drugs that block mucus production. an important example is iptrapomium bromide. As an inhaled agent this puppy has reduced a lot of asthma hospitilizations.
corticosteroids?
These drugs dominate the immune response. ie prednisone. in fact most are sone drugs except for flunisolide which will be a test question because it is not like the rest of the ...sones. Tricky tricky. If you take these things you will get thrush.
Zileuton does?
Zileuton is a lipoxygenase inhibitor. This guy sounds like an alien officer, perhaps a LTC ZOLTAR or something. short acting and you gotta watch the hepatic enzymes.
Anti Leukotriene drugs?
KAST = leuKasTrators. ZiloKAST and monteKAST. these guys
zafirlukast?
zafirLuKasT: leuktotriene drug. blocks ltd guy. Zafir the Arab is old, on blood thinners and is starving. Poor Zafir.
montelukast?
montelukast causes the Chug strauss syndrome (this will be a test question guaranteed).
Omalizumab?
Anti Anti (like saying that) anti antibody against IgE. FcRI I dunno how I am going to remember that, but it will be a test q. gotta be 90% to get efficacy too.
