Pain is anything the pt says it is n where it is.

Types of pain

Acute=== less than 6 months


Chronic==more than 6 months


Nociceptive==somatic:: it pain arises from the bones.....visceral ::: pain arising from the visceral organs like the GI organ .


Neuroleptics, phantom, diabetic neuropathy==== is abnormal pain that a person feels in an amputated extremity after the residual limb had healed.csus

Is wen a body part is in pain n that pain affects the other body parts........eg when your gall bladder is pain u but ur head starts to hurt too (visceral pain cuz the gall bladder is an organ)
