what is the most noticeable difference between a museum building and other structures?

it must stand out because the museum is considered an art work itself. it also must have high security and must be build for the flow of large amounts of people.

what is the role of cooperate building?

the cooperate building makes a statement of the company and the goal of the people within it, which varies. and has to hold larges amounts of people.

Art deco, post modern, international?

Art deco appeared after world war one, it is flashy for commercial sending the message of quick money and lots of it.


international style sends the message of serious work, form follows function.


post modern is out if the city (suburban) came in the mid 1980's-1990's. it is centered around the people/workers and their health and families, a stress free environment.

how can each hotel fulfill their role after being so different?


each hotel caters to different kinds/types of residence.

compare and contrast two of the three: lake point tower, habitat, casa mila

lake point view is a self contain apartment and everyone has a 360 view of the city.


habitat is a very organized (box) apartment were everyone has their own entrance, windows on four sides etc.


casa mila all walls are curved, their is no floor plan and has a natural weathering look.


they are similar in the sense they all have the same purpose which is housing.


residence has the most noticeable difference between the different types of buildings; why is this so?


everyone has their own personal style so make it how you want it. Also yo spend a lot of money on it so why not
