Stephen Austin
was the founder of texas in 1823 he was granted a huge tract of land and would bring in three hundred families to texas

Revolution of 1828
: The election of 1828 is often called the "Revolution of 1828." There was an increased turnout of voters at this election. The large turnout proved that the common people now had the vote and the will to use it for their ends. The results of the election show that the political center of gravity was shifting away from the conservative seaboard East toward the emerging states across the mountains. The revolution was peaceful, achieved by ballots. America had been ruled by the elite brains and wealthy class. Jackson's victory accelerated the transfer of national power from the counting house to the farmhouse, from the East to the West, and from the snobs to the mobs
Anti-Masonic Party
Was opposed to the influence and fearsome secrecy of the masonic order which was brought up by a murder of a new yorker they would later join the whig party
"Pet Banks"
Surplus federal funds were placed in several dozen state institutions the soc called pet banks, chosen for their pro-Jackson sympathies. These banks flooded the country with paper money.
Black Hawk

was the forced removal and replacement of the Cherokee and ended up killing many on the forced marches.
Tariff of 1832
Was to replace the tariff of Abominations, it pared away the worst but it was still frankly protective and fell far short of the southern demands. This deepened the Nullification Crisis
Tariff of 1833
The Compromise Tariff was a Tariff to appease the south and would gradually reduce 10 percent over a period of 8 years.
South Carolina Exposititon
written by john C calhoun it denounced the recent tariff as unjust and unconstitutional and proposed the states should nullify the tariff
Tariff of Abominations
Was a higher tarrif bill, the highest ever seen that was repudiated by the south and caused the south to start nullify the federal government
Spoils system
is what jackson did when he took office he rewarded his candidates by giving them places in office.

was an economic crisis started by Jackson because of his speci circular, over speculation of banks, and the bank war.
