What is a Computer network? Name three main types of networks.

A computer network is any system that allows computers to send signals to other computers in electronic form. Three main types of networks are: 1. )Local Area Network- In this type of network, the computers that are connected are usually connected in the the same building. (Eg.A school) 2.)Wide Area Network- This type of network connects computers that are spread out over a large area such as an island, or the whole Caribbean, or even across the ocean. 3.) A Metropolitan Area Network-It Connects computers that are in a large city or district. |

Bandwidth is defined as the amount of data that can be send via a connection.
Broadband connections carry sigalns with alot of data. Narrowband connections are used for text based messages Voiceband is used for calls and is typically quite slow. |
