Have emergency respiratory equipment available
Give reassurance

Tardive Dyskinesia
CH:
Involuntary tongue thrusting and lip smacking movements, blinking, grimacing, involuntary movement of upper or lower extremities or trunk
Permanent and irreversible if not caught early
NI:
Anti-parkinson drugs will not decrease the sx; need to stop the drug or decrease the dose
AIMS assessment q3-6 months; teach P/F to report sx early
keep dose as low as possible
