Diphenhydramine (benadryl)

Class: antihistamine



Action: nonselectively blocks H1 and H2 histamine receptors



Indications: allergies, extrapyramidal reactions, Parkinson disease, sedation, anaphylaxis



Contraindications: hypersensitivity to the drug, glaucoma, pregnancy
