What were the dodems?
Dodems are clans in the Anishinabe society. Each clan had its importance.

Where did they live?
The Anishinabe origionally lived north of Lake Superior and live in tepees.
What where Anishinabe beliefs?
The Anishinabe believed in nature, and learned to respect it. They only took what they need. The grandparents taught and told stories oral to the young. Wampum belts also was a way to tell history for it reccorded historical events. Artwork is also an important way to the Anishinabe to express history and stories. Artwork was a huge thing toward the Anishinabe society.
Who where the Midewin society?
The Midewin society were highly respected people who had special gifts as healers and leaders. They went trough years of secret training.
What was Anishinabe democracy?
Each clan had different jobs. The Crane and Loon clans were in charge of leaderrship, so they were the ones attending meetings. An Ogimauh is a leader of the intire Anishinabe tribe.
Common food?
The anishinabe traditionally ate wild rice. They would go in canoes around the water collecting the rice. They would grab a stalk of rice bring it over their canoe and would bat the rice into the boat.
