CELL MEMBRANE
Cell membranes allow food, oxygen, waste, and carbon dioxide exchange. It is elastic to help change it's shape under pressure.
CELL WALLS
Cell walls support and protects the cell
VACUOLE
A vacuole is a storage tank that store food, water, enymes, and waste. For a plant cell it has one large vacuole but for a animal they have a lot.
CHLOROPLAST
Chlorplast are only in plant cells. They contain chlorophll. Chloroplast is is where glucose is made.
CYTOPLASM
Cytoplasm is a jellylike substance that keeps from drying out, so materials can move around the cell.
MITOCHONDRIA
A mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell.
RIBOSOMES
Ribosomes are proteins.
ENDOPLASMIC RETICULUM
The Endoplasmic reticulam (ER) are clear tubes that make and transports protein.
NUCLEUS
Brain or library of cell. Controls all cell functions.
WHAT ARE SOME OF THE SAME ORGANELLES IN PLANT AND ANIMAL CELLS?
cell membrane, cytoplasm, vacuole ( lot smaller ones), Mitochondria, and lysosomes ( rarey seen in plant cells), Ribosomes, ER, nuclear membrane, nucleus, nucleolus, chromosomes and golgi complex.
