|

GnRH analog, suppresses steroidogenesis, use palliatively to treat prostate cancer, and endometriosis(like danazol.) Treats central precocious puberty.

5 alpha reductase Type 1 and Type 2 inhibitor, treats BPH.

|
How does spironolactone work as an anti-androgen?

Competitively inhibits aldosterone, treats HTN, reduces 17 alpha hydroxylase so it lowers plasma testosterone and a-dione. Treats hirsutism in women. SE gynecomastia and hyperkalemia.

orally active antiandrogens used to treat prostate cancer.
