In the 454 it was made transfer the treasure from the Confederation to the city of Athens. All these facts, together with required increase in taxes, caused that the cities of the Confederation were rebelled and begun to feel enemy of Athens, that in addition imposed its currency to them, their system of weights and even the form of government.
