Cultural influences from muslims/islam;

Silent Trade
1. Arab traders arrived in the Kingdom of Ghana; arranged their goods, salt, silk, copper, and metal pots along the banks Senegal River.
2. Announced the opening of the market by the beating of their drums then retreated into town to await the arrival of the merchants.
3. Traders from Wangara sailed up the river with gold and put down whatever they thought was a good value with the goods and retreated to their sailing banks on the river.
4.Arab traders returned:
Satisfied; beat the drums and Wangaras came back to take the goods.
Unsatisfied; waited for them to come back and add more gold.

In the king's town, not far from the court of justice is a mosque.
