Popular Sovereignty

The government draws their power from the people, and the people have given the power the to government.




The people are the only source for any and all governmental power.

Limited Government

No government is all-powerful, that government may do only those things that the people have given it the power to do.




Government must obey the law as well as its people.

Separation of Powers

The powers are distributed among 3 distinct and independent branches of the government.

Checks and Balances
