obama is in between a liberal and conservative president. he supports tax cuts, he sympathizes with the common people but also pushes big government programs like government run health care

milton friedman, small government, cant have democracy without capitalism, too much taxing to pay for government programs, too many government regulations, opposed to corporate welfare, eliminate debt.

businesses are in a privileged position because if we pass law against them they can punish us. ex: min wage or environmental laws may lead to higher prices or less employment.

friedman is half right. big businesses have too much power over government. not always completely right, we still pass the laws to protect us.

subsidies, tax breaks, bail outs to help big businesses
