limits law suits against states


-a citizen may file a suit in federal court against state authorities for depriving that person of constitutional rights.


- prohibits a citizen of one state or a citizen from another country from suing another state in federal court.


- You cant file frivolous law suits.

-This amendment was the one that ended slavery all together and established that all men are equal.

-Poll taxes began to be implemented, particularly in the southern states, to prevent African-Americans from voting in elections. so this amendment came in to stop it.

-This just is making up an almost to-do list so that we know what is going to happen.


-It is almost a plan for the future.

-sets voting age at 18 years.


-Now 18 year old people are considered adults and it is needed for them to vote.


-They now have the right to vote and is mandatory.

-delays congressional pay raises until the term following the passage.


-The 27th Amendment was created with the purpose of limiting the power of the members of Congress.


-The 27th Amendment deals with the salary of the members of Congress.
