Mouth

This is where digestion starts with the teeth chewing the food. It then mixes with saliva which contains an enzym called amylase that breaks down carbs

Oesophagus

2) Food pipe. Links mouth to stomach

Stomach

3) The food mixes with protease enzymes that digest proteins. Contains muscular tissue that moves the stomach wall and churn food. Hydrochloric acid is in there to kill harmful bacteria and gives a low pH for the enzymes to work

Liver

4) Makes bile that breaks fat into tiny droplets which is a process called emulsification. Its the right alkaline to give the right pH for the enzymes to work in the small intestine

Pancreas

5) Contains glandular tissue which makes 3 enzymes
