microcytic: TAILS (thalessemia, ACD, Iron, Lead, Sideroblastic)
normocytic: ACD, red cell aplasia, pancytopenia, sideroblastic

hemolysis (high LDH, bili, low haptoglobin)
acute blood loss (sx of bleed)
