What is a constant?

A fixed value that we know, a number or
symbol which we know for certain the value of that is by itself.

Examples in bold,

3x + 7 = 19

What is a variable?

A symbol for a number we don't know yet, it is usually the letter x or y in algebra. But can be other letters or symbols such as degrees when dealing with triangles or complete words in some problems.

What is a coefficient?

A number used to multiply a variable, sometimes a letter can stand in for the number.

What is an operator?

An operator is a symbol which represents an operation, examples are multiplication, division, subtraction and addition.
