Albarino

Its generics is unconfirmed but there's a close relationship with laurero and caino blanco. originated in Galicia spain, brough to the region by the monks traveling from germany along the "Camino de Satiago", many people suggests its a riesling clone but science hasn't confirmed it. Even its name mean white wine from the Rhein, alba-rino.


Its susceptible to powdery mildew, early to mid-ripening it loves sandy / alluvial soils, granite its an amazing soil for albarino it combines the structure that granite gives to wine with the potent acidity and brightness that the grape has.

Visual/ aromas

Pale straw with hints of green, moderate minus concentration, aromas are moderate plus intensity, with citrus fruits, meyer lemon, lime, grapefruit, orange, stone fruit, white peach, apricot, green apples and melons, floral notes of white flowers, apples blossom, moderate plus minerality, salinity, steal beer, leesy, agave.

Structure

Dry structure, rounded, quince acidity, salty with a little bit of phenolic bitterness, acidity goes on a square hits the front and back as a square.
