AILERON
Moving parts attached to the outside rear edge of each wing. This part, when moved, makes the airplane tilt and roll to the left or right
PROPELLER
Rotating blade attached to the engine in front of the airplane. The propeller spins very fast like an elecric fan to pull the airplane through the air.
ELEVATOR
Moving parts attached to the horizontal section on each side of the tail. The elevators, when moved, make the airplane climb or descend.
COCKPIT
Where the pilot sits and where all the instruments are that keep the pilot informed about how the airplane is working and whether the plane is on course.
ENGINE
Produces the power to make the airplane move.
FUSELAGE
Main structual part that connects all the other parts together.
LANDING GEAR
The wheels on an airplane so it can land and taxi.
RUDDER
A moving part attached to the vertical section of the tail. This part makes the airplane turn left or right.
ELEVATOR
Moving part attached on each side of the tail. The elevators, when moved, make the airplane climb or descend.
FLAPS
Moving parts attached to the inside rear edge of each wing. They help slow the airplane down for takeoff and landing.
