What is situational understanding?

What is planning?

What is preparing?

Consists of those activities performed by units and soldiers to improve their ability to execute an operation.

What is executing?

What is Assessment?

The determination of the progress toward accomplishing a task, creating an effort, or achieving an objective. It is a continuous activity.

What is a running estimate?

The continuous assessment of the current situation used to determine if the current operation is proceeding accordingly to the commanders intent, and if planned future operations are supportable.
