1-2mg/kg Peds and Adult PO or NG and IO tube. Prepared in a slurry of water.

Whats are the drug interactions and precautions of Activated Charcoal?

Absorbs other injested Drugs. If given with syrup of Ipeac, charcoal may be vomited. Precautions: may blacken feces, must be stored in closed container, does no absorb all drugs including: Phenobarbital, Aspririn, cyanide, lithium, iron, lead, and arsenic.

N/V may induce constipation and diarrhea.
