Whenever you have a descriptive phrase the thing being described must be directly before or after

Who= a subject followed by a verb


Ex: Who goes there?


Whom = an object, usually after a preposition


Ex: To whom should I address this letter?




Front: When you see a single verb underlined, look for:


Agreement = identify subject of the phrase/sentence


Tense = look for example of tense

When a noun comes after a prep it cannot be the subject of the sentence

when a single pronoun is underlined ask what the noun is that the pronoun is replacing and is it clear
