What are the attachments of opponens digiti minimi?

Origin: Hook of hamate and associated flexor retinaculum

Insertion: Medial margin of the 5th metacarpal

What are the actions of opponens digiti minimi?

Opposition of the little finger via rotation of the metacarpal towards the palm

What is the innervation of opponens digiti minimi?

Deep Branch of the Ulnar Nerve

What is the arterial supply of opponens digiti minimi?

Ulnar Artery

What are the attachments of abductor digiti minimi?

Origin: Pisiform

Abduction of the little finger

What is the innervation of abductor digiti minimi?

Deep Branch of the Ulnar Nerve (C8-T1)

What is the arterial supply of abductor digiti minimi?

Ulnar Artery

What are the attachments of flexor digiti minimi brevis?

Origin: Hook of hamate and adjacent flexor retinaculum

Insertion: Base of the proximal phalanx of the little finger

What are the actions of flexor digiti minimi brevis?

Flexion of the little finger at the MCPJ

What is the innervation of flexor digiti minimi brevis?

Deep Branch of the Ulnar Nerve

What is the arterial supply of flexor digiti minimi brevis?

Ulnar Artery

What are the function and actions of the lumbricals of the hand as a group?

Linking the extensor tendons to the flexor tendons

Flexion at the MCPJs and extension at the PIPJs &DIPJs of the fingers (not the thumb)

What are the attachments of the lumbricals of the hand?

Lateral 2 Lumbricals: Unipenate (Middle, Index)

Origin: Tendon of the flexor digitorum profundus of the respective digit

Insertion: Extensor hood on the radial side of the proximal phalanx of the digit

Medial 2 Lumbricals: Bipenate (Little, Ring)

Origin: Tendon of the flexor digitorum profundus of the respective digit and the digit lateral to it (ie: little + ring; ring + middle)

Insertion: Extensor hood on the radial side of the proximal phalanx of the digit

What is the innervation of the lumbricals of the hand?

Lateral Two: Palmar Digital Nerve from the Median Nerve (Middle, Index)

Medial Two: Deep Branch of the Ulnar Nerve (C8-T1) (Little, Ring)

What is the arterial supply of the lumbricals of the hand?

Superficial Palmar Arterial Arch

What are the attachments of the dorsal interossei?

4 Dorsal Interossei, each with 2 heads

Origin: Lateral and medial surfaces of two adjacent metacarpals

Insertion:

Lateral 2: Lateral side of the extensor hood and proximal phalanx of the index and middle fingers respectively

Medial 2: Medial side of the extensor hood and proximal phalanx of the middle and ring fingers respectively

What are the actions of the dorsal interossei?
