Accidental Discharge |
Any unexpected discharge that is the result of a mechanical failure of the weapon or ammunition. |

Unintentional Discharge |
Shooter-induced discharge, without purposeful intent, which does not result in personal injury or property damage. |

Negligent Discharge |
Shooter-induced discharge caused by failure to exhibit due care, which may result in personal injury or property damage. In technical terms a negligent discharge involves culpable carelessness and is a chargeable offense. |
