Accidental Discharge

Any unexpected discharge that is the result of a mechanical failure of the weapon or ammunition.

Unintentional Discharge

Shooter-induced discharge, without purposeful intent, which does not result in personal injury or property damage.

Negligent Discharge

Shooter-induced discharge caused by failure to exhibit due care, which may result in personal injury or property damage. In technical terms a negligent discharge involves culpable carelessness and is a chargeable offense.

Most occurances of Negligent discharge involve what?

Exhaustion, distraction, poor Procedures, and/or the vast majority of injury is self-inflicted.
