Test description |
This test, as I stated earlier, is the EC-130 JMPS MPE v3.0 RRec
The main points that I would like to hit on this slide are the funding spent, the LDTO, and the project deliverable. If you have any questions on other points, please feel free to ask at the end of the brief.
ACC as the primary majcom that we work for tasks us to ensure that the product that they are asking for meets the KPPs that have been requested to bridge a capability gap
Due to travel restrictions the expended funds on this test remains at $0
The LDTO for this test is the 45 TS found here on eglin
The project deliverable, due to the determined risk involved, is a release recommendation. |
|
Background |
- End state or the deliverable will be a RRec after a user evaluation at Davis Monthan AFB, Arizona. - the baseline for this MPE will be the MAF 2.0.150 - The SDC will be 5.7.2 and the operating system will be windows 10
Background - Improvements on the last fielded MPE which was released in January of 2020. Improvements are DR patches and primarily - Transition from 32 to 64 bit framework and other updates to the MAF baseline
Testing - DT did a focus test from 13 Jan - 11 July 2020. They had a few small iteration. If you are curious about their focus points it's found on page 8, table 3 of their focus report - OT is currently planned for November of 2020

Impact on the Warfighter |
Need date Because they just got a new MPE in January nobody is very rushed to get anything out to the field Value to Warfighter 64 bit framework, bug and DR fixes and some fixes to the arc orbit function Impediments to meeting the need date If there was a need date the arc orbit is a function that won't impede the mission if they can't use it, but the users have continually asked for it and the developers have had more issues with it than expected Impediments to meeting need date |
|
Planning considerations/Limitations |
Considerations: - 12 operationally representative scenarios that validate the MPE fixes - Data will be collected via collection logs and aircrew surveys Limitations: - potential aircrew unavailability due to ops tempo - covid restrictions |
